MUMBAI: Today is a special day for Radio Nasha’s RJ Rohini who celebrates her first birthday since the launch of Radio Nasha, which is billed as India’s, first cool retro station that plays Bollywood music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. On her special day, Radioandmusic.com thought of sharing some cool facts and, of course, pictures of ‘Radio Ki Heroini – Rohini’ with her fans who are mostly conversant only with her mellifluous voice.
Rohini Ramnathan has been part of the radio fraternity for the last nine years and she wears the outfit of enthusiasm with ease and rocks lazy mornings with her energetic breakfast show.

Talking about celebrating birthday at work, Rohini shared, “I was somehow saved from the Nasha team, as there is a tradition of cake facial. I just got done my hair yesterday and I am actually grateful to the team because they didn’t spoil my hair (smiles).”
While talking about how she likes spending her birthday, she said, “It has been always a massive birthday party every year including my friends and family. I like to be surrounded by people on my birthdays and I have never taken an off on my birthday, not even during my school or college days.”
Rohini believes that her show is all about the people who listen to her, and she was overwhelmed by the birthday wishes from fans. Also, we asked her what made her happy when it comes to gifts? “We all are human beings and gifts make us happy no matter what. A JBL Bluetooth speaker, I got it as a gift from a close friend Ananya Dasgupta”, added she.
“Birthdays are all about people and food. I went for lunch at Bombay Canteen with the breakfast show team and post that, I had a gala celebration at Radio Nasha’s Mumbai office”, she signs off.
Rohini added she is looking forward to a visit from her husband who is in Singapore now and will be visiting her in two days. That means the party hasn’t ended yet!
