MUMBAI: Aiming to drive interactivity and increase consumer engagement, Radio City has partnered with Techzone, one of the leading players in the VAS domain for a dedicated short code SMS service across its stations.
This alliance with Techzone will ensure that Radio City has a dedicated short code for consumer engagement and drive interactivity. Under the tie-up, Techzone will partner with Radio City for all activities the station initiates on mobile across markets.
Radio City will use the short code 56060 to promote its contests, polls, and other services through its channel and web radio portal, PlanetRadiocity.com. Through this, while Techzone gets 56060 exposures on the radio frequency, while Radio City gets entry in the mobile domain.
As reported by Radioandmusic.com last month, Techzone had tied up with Radio City for a two part deal. While the first was to give the station a call to action medium on the mobile SMS or IVR platform which they are using across all their 20 stations to get consumer feedback, the second was to make available their premium content on popular RJs and aired programmes on the mobile platform.
Radio City SVP & head – digital media & new business Rachna Kanwar said, “Engaging with our listeners is of prime importance to us. As Techzone has a wide reach and a strong pan-India presence, we felt it was be-fitting for both organizations to partner each other. We are sure that Techzone, with their expertise at mobile technology and short-code systems, will deliver value, not only to our consumers, but also to the organization.”
Techzone director Naveen Bhandari said, “Radio City is a FM radio broadcast media service provider offering services across 20 cities in India using state-of-the-art digital stereo FM, innovative programming, vivacious radio jockeys and experienced professionals. With our strong technology support, this tie-up will not only help them manage their mobile based activities and increase user engagement, but will also bring visibility for Techzone among their vast audience. It’s a very favourable association for both companies.”
