MUMBAI: Radio City 91.1 FM recently partnered Unwind Center for India`s Mega Rock Festival – June Rock Out 2007 (JRO) which showcased the musical talents of 14 Indian rock bands across classic, alternative, blues, glam and funk rock to thrash metal. For the two day event, the station aired interactive contests which offered listeners passes to the June Rock Out 2007 on The Radio City Breakfast Show and Radio City Joyride. While the Breakfast Show featured interviews with the bands, RJ Sharmilee mingled with Chennai`s rock buffs to capture the action at the JRO 2007 through live broadcasts.
Says Radio City`s national marketing head Rana Barua, “As the music innovators in Indian radio, we are committed to creating superlative content and giving our listeners the chance to be up-close and personal with the best in music that the country has to offer.
