MUMBAI: Primetime Kagiso, a joint venture between Primetime International and Kagiso Media (South Africa’s private radio network) has partnered with Radio City for airing updates on the Indian Premier League (IPL) on its stations.
In a bid to monetize IPL related content on air, Radio City will provide on and off the field moments throughout the DLF IPL 2009 series, packaging the series with cricketers â€?interviews, polls, exciting contests as well as wrap around programs involving RJ’s, and cricket experts.
Radio City will also give its listeners an opportunity to go and see the finals live at Johannesburg. Radio City is sending its own team of RC XI.
Says Primetime Kagiso director Rathnakar Rai, “We appreciate the initiative that World Sports Group has taken to expand the reach of IPL into new markets on new platforms and we are delighted that Radio City has agreed to partner in this exciting arena of cricket & entertainment called IPL’.”
Kagiso will have a ‘nerve centre’ studio where the programming will be packaged and relayed as a feed to a network of radio stations. Apart from a team and technical producer, the company also plans to enlist the services of a specialist on board to choreograph new elements into the broadcast.
Radio City will have access to an-ground events, expert analysis, celebs bytes, and exclusive audio bytes from the ground.
