MUMBAI: Qyuki, the multi-channel digital broadcast network and talent agency has been aggressively creating contents ahead of the conventional gamut of entertainment. Since Qyuki’s prime forte is music and the music industry, on this World Music Day they came up with a very unique arrangement where 24 young artists will be recording songs, covering songs and will be releasing new singles in just six hours, as an attempt to break the existing Limca Book record.
Qyuki family which includes musicians like Ambili Menon, Siddharth Slathia, Rahul Pandey, Aby Slumgod, Vasudha Sharma, Mumbai’s Finest, Abhas Joshi Tushar Lall, Amika Shail and others came together on World Music Day to create a record.
Radioandmusic.com had a great interacting session with some of the young musicians and they shared their matchless experience about jamming together, collaborating with other musicians and more on this special day.

The super talented singer Ambili Menon said, “I don’t believe we need just one day to celebrate music. It’s a lifelong journey. This is really exciting as meeting people who come from different music background is truly amusing. For the music video, I wanted to pay tribute to all the musicians whom I have been listening while growing up. I have sung Lata Ji’s ‘Lag Ja Gale’, Sonu Nigam’s ‘Deewana Tera’, Sting’s ‘Desert Rose’ and some of Elvis Presley and Michel Jackson’s numbers on acoustic guitar and fortunately the synchronization of all the songs was seamless.”
The key person of Indian Jam Project, Tushar Lall curated a brand new cover from the movie Inception for this special initiative.
“Based on light classical, the track ‘Time’ is an Indianised arrangement merged with my own Indian composition. We have used instruments like Piano, Sarangi, Sitar, Tabla and much more. My agenda is to knit classical Indian tones into the script of western music to showcase the beauty of Indian music,” said the composer.
Head of Talent Management of Qyuki, Tania Suri said, “This is just an idea to pay honour to all the musicians we have been listening since early days and to bring all our artists to curate a different kind of musical experience for the audience.”
“Music is everywhere. We wanted to discover the indie musicians of the new age, forward the exposure to them and the idea just came in due course.
However, this year the whole celebration is different as Qyuki is trying to break the Limca Record of the highest number of singles released in six hours today,” added Head of Marketing & Audience Development of Qyuki, Sushant Yattam.
