NEW DELHI: President Pranab Mukherjee has described maestro Ravindra Jain as ‘multi-talented artist of extraordinary ability’.
In his condolence message, the President said, “In the passing away of Shri Ravindra Jain, the nation has lost a veteran music director and lyricist.”
In recognition of his achievements in the field of music, Jain was honoured with several awards including Padma Shri this year.

“His demise has left a void in the field of music which will be difficult to fill. The melodious music composed by him will continue to enthrall music lovers forever”, Mukherjee said.
