MUMBAI: Delhi based rock bands Plok and Barefaced Liar are all set to groove on 10 May at Hard Rock Café. The bands will perform their hit tracks acknowledged as an amalgamation of new genres and sounds.
Plok comprises of Neeraj Aggarwala (vocals), Anirudh Subramaniam (guitars), Tushar Rawal (guitars), Jayant Manchanda (bass) and Nirvan Pareva (drums). Their music is broadly classified into alternative progressive rock/pop as they are highly influenced by bands like Alterbridge, Incubus, Metallica, Opeth, U2, Oasis and The Beatles amongst others.
While Barefaced Liar, is a blend of distinct and eclectic musical taste of its members inspired by bands and artistes including Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica and more.
Formed in 2002, the band comprises of Akshay Chowdhry (vocals, guitars), Sumant Balakrishnan (vocals, guitars), Dushyant Purohit (bass) and Varun Choudhary (drums). Their tracks ‘Glow’ and ‘Mirage’ were short-listed as ‘Semi Finalists’ for the UK Songwriters Contest in 2009 and 2010.
