MUMBAI: Social media network Playlist Inc named former Facebook executive Owen Van Natta as its chief executive officer, says a Reuters report.
Van Natta will work with online music provider Project Playlist.
At Facebook, Van Natta served as chief operating officer and chief revenue officer. Prior to Facebook, Van Natta was Vice President of Worldwide Business and Corporate Development at Amazon.com and was part of the founding team of A9.com, the Amazon search company.
Playlist also said Pilot Group had invested in the company and Bob Pittman, a founding member of the group and the creator and former CEO of MTV Networks, has joined Playlist’s board.
Project Playlist (http://www.projectplaylist.com) is an information location tool that helps users find music legally over the Internet.
