The anticipation around the album ‘G I R L’ will come to an end on Monday 3 March. American singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams has announced his solo album ‘G I R L’ will be available globally on the same date.
40 year old rapper in a statement said that he instantly knew that the name of the album had to G I R L. It will be released under Columbia Records and the pre-orders of the album will be available. One was the sense of overwhelming honor that I felt when I realized that they were interested in partnering with me on the album that I had always dreamt of making. Two, it would have to feel festive and urgent. And three, I instantly knew it would be called G I R L. I hope you like it.” The album also contains the track ‘Happy’ that was first featured on Despicable Me 2 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack).
Currently, he will be performing at the BRIT Awards on Sunday, 2 March and also at the 86th edition of Annual Academy Awards. Later this month, he will also perform on Germany’s Wetten Das and France’s Le Grand Journal.
