MUMBAI: After conquering Asia with its first intellectual music property Sunburn, Percept has now introduced a new musical endeavor ‘Lost’ organized in association with Arjun Rampal. The company plans to invest around Rs 10 mn in the new multi-genre music fest.
The event is scheduled to commence from 23 November in Pune, once again giving Mumbai a miss due to heavy taxation.
The fest will host various stages featuring domestic and international talent from different music genres like pop, rock, dubstep, house, reggae, drum & bass, metal and R&B. To unearth fresh musical talent, the event will also provide an open platform delivering 30 minutes slot for individuals.
Speaking on an initiative Percept joint managing director Shailendra Singh said, “In India, we don’t have much of intellectual properties, so we thought to bring a unique live Indian fest which will be recognized globally like Sunburn. Through Lost we are exploring the live music space which is still unexplored in our country. The fest will not cater to one style or genre of music but it will be amalgamation of different genres. Lost will change the thinking of people giving them a larger perspective and larger platform for all sort of music and artistes. We are looking forward to present yet another glocal product … which will be appreciated worldwide.”
The extravaganza has also organized a music intensive road-rally bringing together music enthusiasts from Goa, Bangalore and Mumbai. The rally will offer festival-goer with a road trip kit including car decals, flags and merchandise, roadmaps and GPRS co-ordinates.
Arjun Rampal who created a stir in media by introducing Lady Gaga to Indian fans through his LAP F1 after parties is all excited to take his passion of music to another level. Commenting on his brain-child Lost he said, “I always wanted a fest which will bring families and friends together and will help people to discover themselves. My belief is that when one is lost they connect with themselves, and get to know themselves, we have number of talented musicians who are yet undiscovered, Lost will give them platform to showcase their talent. The fest will also introduce other A-listed international artistes to India platform and fans and through the unique road-rallies we will give our festival-goers a sense of togetherness which seems to get lost in our busy schedule.”
Since five years, Percept has been successful in taking Indian EDM music to the global level through Asia’s largest music fest Sunburn which ranks seventh in the world fest chart.
