MUMBAI:The second edition of ‘goMAD’ festival will take place from 10-12 May at the Fernhill Palace, Ooty.
The confirmed line up of bands for the fest includes – Thermal and a Quarter, Blues Conscience, Agnee, Pentagram, Grand Pianoramax, Neel and the Lightbulbs, The G Circus, Project YUJ, Indigo Children, Blek, Sam Weslee – Sean Roldan and friends, Junkyard Groove, Karthick Iyer, Lagori, The Family Cheese, Your Chin Bombay Basement and Sky Rabit.
The three day fest of music, art and dance began under the name of MAD Festival and is organized by Cobalt, a
integrated marketing experiential company headquartered in Bangalore.
Cobalt Experiential Marketing founder Sunish Tom said, “goMAD brings together over 300 performers from across genres and countries to bring you a crazy cocktail of music ,arts and dance .The event gets larger this year with the addition of the film festival, lots more of site specific interactive art installations and workshops by leading artists, while continuing with the ethos of the festival that we are about giving you a experience like never before in a safe and beautiful environment.”
The fest is being promoted on social media with music, short film and art competitions. The contests offer people a chance to win passes for the fest.
In February 2013, mini fests were held in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Cochin, Chennai, Hyderabad and Coimbatore. These mini-fests were more like a sneak preview to the actual festival, with performances by band MoonArra who performed along with renowned artists – Loy Mendonsa and Lewis Pragasm.
