MUMBAI: Renowned Indian rock band Parikrama along with Half Step Down is all set to perform on 26 July at Hard Rock Café in Delhi
The gig will witness confluence of Parikrama’s grunge, blues-rock, soul, rock ‘n Roll funk and R&B music with versatile mish-mash of Half Step Down’s blues, alt-rock, funk and reggae music. Both bands will perform their popular tracks.
Parikrama formed in 1991 comprises of Nitin Malik (vocals), Sonam Sherpa (guitars), Saurabh Chaudhary (guitars), Chintan Kalra (bass), Subir Malik (keys), Srijan Mahajan (drums), Imran Khan (violin) and Shambhu Nath (tabla / percussions).
The band has played at the Download Festival in the UK while opening three times for Iron Maiden. The band has performed in more than 1200 shows and has recorded five million downloads from the site www.parikrama.com. The band releases all its songs through their official website and social media, free of cost.
Half Step Down comprising of Dhaval Mudgal (vocals), Carl Abraham (bass guitar), Shiv Lumba (piano/organ), Srijan Mahajan (drums) and Karan Dutta (guitars and backing vocals) has been performing since 2005. The band is influenced and inspired by rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, RHCP and Dave Matthews to Rachmaninoff, Marley and Django Reinhardt.
