BANGALORE : Popular pub/restaurant Opus is spreading its tentacles into other entertainment spaces.
Trumpit, the group that owns Opus, which has been instrumental in providing a buzzing live music scene to music lovers of Bangalore,is now launching the country’s first international online radio (MyOpusRadio).
Opus has been known to host live performances by well known artists every Friday till the ban on music in indoor spaces in Bangalore came into effect earlier this year. Trumpit (whose first business venture was the establishment of Opus) will play a schedule that includes retro shows, greatest hits, rock n roll and disco, among a whole lot of other fun shows on the new station. The station’s repertoire of RJs will include Carlton Braganza, Station Head Kashvi Lakshman, Otis and Vivek Madan, it is learnt.
The website designed for the station is user-friendly and attractive with illustrations and comic strips to add to visual appeal. The selection of music promises to be a notch above the usual run-of-the-mill tracks we have been used to hearing on air.
More details including the url will be made available when they launch the station on 21 October. Watch this space for more.
