OML appoints Keith Alphonso as revenue head

MUMBAI: Music, live events and youth media company Only Much Louder (OML) has appointed Keith Alphonso as the revenue head.

In his new role, Alphonso will be responsible for getting brands on-board and handling the sales operations. He will also oversee creation of more branding properties across platforms including television, live events, web and more. Alphonso will report to OML board of directors comprising of Vijay Nair and Girish Talwar.

Speaking about the appointment with Radioandmusic.com, OML founder Vijay Nair said, “We are glad to have Keith Alphonso on-board. With a strong creative experience like his, we are sure he will be capable of strengthening the team and building brand relationships taking our properties to the next level.”

Prior to this appointment, Alphonso was business head of Bindass, the youth channel from the UTV stable for around one and a half years and was in charge of rebranding the channel in a bid to keep pace with the ever-changing outlook of its core audience set.

Alphonso said, “I have worked very closely with OML earlier for many shows of Lady Gaga, Shah Rukh Khan and more and when I was offered the opportunity it was just great. The team here is very passionate and the decision to join OML was guided more by the kind of work done and the people working here. In my tenure here, I will ensure that the branded content appeals to the consumers and brands. Content should be the reason why the client comes to the medium. That’s the future of branded content and that is what I hope to monetize on.”

With over 17 years of experience, Alphonso has worked at Zoom Television, MTV and Times of India.
