O & M top Mirchi Kaan awards

MUMBAI: Advertising major Ogilvy & Mather (O & M) emerged top winners at the 10th Mirchi Kaan Awards for radio advertising.

O & M beat 30 other agencies across 15 categories to pick 3 gold, 3silver and 4 bronzes. It also won the Agency of the Year Award.

Leo Burnett came second with 1 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze. Mccann Erickson won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze while JWT (India) bagged 1 silver and 4 bronze medals for their creative works across clients. Perfetti Van Melle won the client of the year award. Lingo India won excellence in production awards.

At the individual level, Shreyas Jain of Leo Burnett won ‘Voice of the Year’ award for Chandrashekar advert. Anurag Agnihotri received the ‘Radio Writer of the Year’ award.

“It has been a decade that we initiated this award ceremony. We are seeing the participation of agency augment each passing year. This speaks volumes about the space that radio advertising has created in an overall campaign. We started with an aim to boost the creative minds in radio advertising and today we are seeing some of the most innovative ad campaigns on radio. We are proud to honor creative talents in the industry,” ENIL marketing head GG Jatanta said.

Attending the award function were luminaries from the advertising and entertainment industry including Aditi Rao Hydari, Swanand Kirkire, Shilpa Roa, Leslie Lewis, Meiyang Chang, Shibani Kashyab

The award night was hosted by Cyrus Brocha.
