Mumbai: The nominations for upcoming IDEA IIFA awards were recently announced by veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan in a press conference held at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Continuing the tradition of hosting the awards in different countries all over the world, this year the even will be held in Yorkshire.
Amongst others, the nominations for the Music categories are as follows:
The Nominees for the Best Music Director are: Pritam(Dhoom 2) – Crazy kiya re, Shankar Ehsaan Loy (KANK) – Kabhi Alvida na Kehna, Rajesh Roshan (Krrish) – Dhoop nikalti hai jahan se, Vishal Bhardwaj (Omkara) – Beedi and A. R. Rehman (Rang de Basant) – Ru Baroo.
Nominees for the Best Lyrics are: Sameer (Dhoom 2) – Crazy kiya re, Prasoon Joshi (Fanaa) – Chand Sifarish, Javed Akhtar (KANK) – Kabhi Alvidha na Kehna, Gulzar (Omkara) – Beedi and Prasoon Joshi (Rang de Basanti) – Ru Baroo.
Nominees for the Best Playback singer (Male) are: Shaan (Fanaa) – Chand Sifarish, KK (Gangster) – Tu hi meri shab, Zubeen (Gangster) – Ya Ali, Sonu Nigam (KANK) – Kabhi Alvidha na Kehna, A. R. Rehman & Naresh Iyer (Rang De Basanti) – Ru Baroo.
Nominees for the Best Playback singer (Female) are: Sunidhi Chauhan (Dhoom 2) – Crazy kiya re, Alka Yagnik (KANK) – Kabhi Alvidha na Kehna, Shreya Ghoshal (Lage Raho Munna Bhai) – Pal Pal, Sunidhi Chauhan (Omakara) – Beedi Jalaile, Lata Mangeshkar (Rang de Basanti) – Luka Chhupi.
