MUMBAI: The JD Rock Awards ceremony will take place on 12 February 2009 at The Hard Rock Cafe Mumbai.
On the same night, there will be a Tribute to Guitar Gods performed by Hipnotribe, with special guest guitarists Rudy Wallang, Amyt Dutta, Dhruv Ghanekar, Randolph Correia and Floyd Fernandes.
The Song Of The Year, Band Of The Year and Album Of The Year categories for the JD Rock Awards ceremony are open to public voting through the event’s official website till 5 February.
The winner of the Best Band of Year title will get a chance to go to the legendary Mash festival at Lynchburg, Tennessee, in April 2009 where a round of studio auditions will take place before the final selection. This year Jack Daniel’s Legendary Mash International Grand Finale at Tennessee has thrown open the stage to young, upcoming bands from around the world.
