Nokia’s Ovi unveils new app ‘store-in-a-store’

MUMBAI: Nokia announced its new Ovi Store operator app store concept for France’s Orange and Deutsche Telekom. The concept “store-in-a-store” provides operators with a familiar branded channel on Ovi Store, and global opportunities to differentiate and build revenues with their own content collections and consumer-convenient operator billing.

store-in-a-store gives enterprises opportunity to create their own apps and services with tools such as connectors, Ovi App Wizard and a set of application programming interfaces – including free cloud social and location APIs. These operators can also utilize marketing, promotional and content spotlight opportunities with easy one-click access to the operator app store from the Ovi Store’s mobile home page experience.

Ovi Store daily downloads top five million per day and continues to grow its industry with 112 operators in 37 markets.
