MUMBAI: Nokia recently announced that it has tweaked the Nokia Music desktop software by making some ‘small enhancements’ in key areas.
The major change is the implementation of ‘connection mode switching’. The primary use of this feature would be to easily select the mode of connection when users can plug their device to the computer.
In previous versions of the software, switching from one mode to other after you accidentally select one option was not a very pleasurable thing to do. In the new version however, switching modes is much easier and now gets a dedicated button for that as well. Even the installation process has been made easier and “modularized” as Nokia puts it.

This means that normal users who already have some key software components installed (like the Ovi Suite), the installation of the Music Desktop application involves the download of a small 9MB file. Improvements have also been made to the artwork display performance for larger music libraries. Users will now see album covers appear more quickly with the latest version of the software.
The software lets the users play and organise their music seamlessly between their PC and phone. They can enjoy full integration with the Nokia Music Store and the Comes With Music. Users can also transfer music and playlists to and from their device and can burn songs to CD. They can rip their CDs straight to their device with ‘Rip n’ Go’.
Users can unlock the music potential of their handset with the only PC jukebox optimized for Nokia owners.
Apart from all these, Nokia has promised more updates to the application by the end of the year.
