MUMBAI: ‘Super Bass’ rapper Nicki Minaj arrived late by two and a half hours at Britain’s Wireless 2015 music festival, leaving fans in agony and demanding a refund. The singer, who was supposed to go on stage at 7 pm, turned up only at 9:30 pm, owing to travel issues, revealed festival organisers.
A message that showed up on screen at the festival said, “Special announcement: we are told that she was due to be speeding down the M1 from Luton Airport but we have lost contact with her, we are hoping that she will be here soon.”
In a statement, a representative for Wireless said, “Due to last minute travel issues Nicki Minaj was unable to perform at her scheduled time of 7pm. However Nicki did join David Guetta on stage for one song and went on to perform a blistering set.”

Meanwhile, Guetta’s set was cut short and the duo performed to their collaboration ‘Hey Mama’. The ‘Starships’ hitmaker then went on to perform several of her tracks like ‘Feeling Myself’, ‘Anaconda’ and ‘Super Bass’. As per the schedule, Minaj was supposed to perform for an hour, but only managed a half an hour performance, accommodating just six tracks.
The result left many angry fans, who expressed their frustration and disappointment on Twitter, and many demanding a refund of tickets.
