New company Audioashram to promote electronic music

MUMBAI: A new audio solutions company Audioashram just made its debut in the nation’s capital.

Floated by Joey Matthew, Nikhel Kumar Mahajan and Bawa Mohit Singh, Audioashram’s core focus is in the music and entertainment industry. Along with promoting and managing electronic musicians/DJs from various music genre’s in India, the company will also be creating a platform for these musicians to showcase their school of thought. Their studio facility has the latest equipment and software required to produce high quality audio productions for Television, Radio, Feature Films and Music production, says a release. Audioashram has also tied up with Ambika Pillai for the distribution of these CD’s along with her in-house Salon Magazine ‘Ambika Pillai’, the proceeds of which will to CanKids-Kidscan.The first album launched by Audioashram, The Middle Path, is an attempt to bridge the gap between two different ages – the Classical age and the Digital age. The ragas, say the promoters, are carefully chosen keeping the three basic times of an average human’s day- morning, afternoon and evening thus maintaining a comfortable relaxed environment to listen to the genre of music we have come to call Electro Classical.

Joey Matthews is a London based top Indian model originally from Kerala, is also a full fledged Lawyer having apprenticed under Ram Jethmalani.

Nikhel Kumar Mahajan better known for his Sattyananda and Kalyug avatars is presently the most versatile Electronic Music producer/Composer in India. He has released two critically acclaimed albums covering genres like ambient & progressive, and has performed at festivals all around the globe.

The promoters say the music label is going to focus only on original content and will be releasing a varied mixture of albums and compilations during the year. Domestic and International artists will be featured on the releases.
