NCPA to host Western Musical concert

MUMBAI: Renowned soprano singer Patricia Rozario with Joanne D’Mello and Susanna Hurrell will perform at a western musical concert to be held on 9 January at NCPA.

‘Three Tenors—soprano style’ will feature variety of solo arias, duets and trios, from the popular operatic repertory of Handel, Mozart, Gounod, Massenet, Puccini and Lehar, including the famous Queen of the Night arias from Mozart’s Magic Flute. The sopranos will be accompanied by the reputed pianist, composer and broadcaster Mark Troop.

The concert is hosted in association with Sargam.

Born in Mumbai, Patricia Rozario studied at London’s Guildhall School of Music, she has developed a luminous international career in opera, concert work, recording and broadcasting with composers like John Tavener and Arvo P?¤rt.

Joanne D ‘Mello has graduated from the Royal College of Music with honours and is now associated with the Opera Studio in Ghent, while Susanna Hurrell has performed in major English venues with leading conductors and orchestras.
