MUMBAI: Arts and Culture institution, National Center of Performing Arts (NCPA) will organized a Gujarati Musical Presentation â€?Ektaro’ on Tuesday 8 November at Tata Theatre.
The two-hour program is an attempt to revive the glorious heritage of Gujarati folk literature. The musical will present selected compositions of celebrated poets like Narsi Mehta, Meerabai, Gangasati, Dayaram, Meghani and others. The compositions will be presented in various traditional form including recitation, musical rendition, garba, and theatre elements with the accompaniment of traditional folk instruments.
Ektaro includes artistes such as Ashit Desai, Hema Desai, Chetan Gadhavi, Jayshree Bhojavia and Kishore Manraja.
Gujarati Musical Presentation is organized in collaboration with Onward Foundation.
