My FM hunts for ‘College Jock’

MUMBAI: My FM is launching a hunt for the college-going youngsters who will have to face a challenge posed by the FM station  In its true â€?Jiyo Dil Se’ style, the radio station has launched its search for â€?My FM Official College Jockey’ across local colleges and institutes who would get a chance to represent My FM and be the face of the station in their respective colleges.

The contest is a city-based college radio jockey hunt which promises to reach out to the youth and select those who live up to the brand values of My FM. It will enable the students to express their views on issues like college updates, relevant student information, their likes, dislikes, favourite hangouts and more

The activity commenced on 16 August and is a three-week activity. My FM RJs will be visiting college campuses on a daily basis to audition and select students from each college for the next round. The selection is based on the contestants’ presence of mind, wit and overall personality

40 shortlisted students from various colleges would battle it out during My FM’s morning and evening shows. The winners would be picked by the listeners based on connect and popularity. The listeners would send their votes through SMS at the end of each day’s spell, thereby selecting the best one out of the lot.

Commenting on the initiative, My FM CEO Harrish M Bhatia said, My FM as a brand continuously tries to evolve itself to bring out the best for its listeners. With this latest endeavor, we plan to connect with today’s youth while offering them a platform to showcase their talent and address their passion to express their views thereby impacting the society  Here we expect today’s youth to utilize the college jockey hunt as an opportunity to bring out changes to aspects that effect in making their future better….
