MUMBAI: The Bhaskar Group`s radio station My FM celebrated the festival of Janmashtmi in the traditional way with `Khelo Dil se, Jiyo Dil se!` – a Dahi Handi event across the country.
The activity was a combination of on-ground plus on-air component. On-air promotion was used to select participants and distribute special passes to the contest winners. My FM gave away a gift voucher to the person who climbed the human pyramid and broke the handis hanging in mid air.
Says My FM`s national programming head Viplove Gupte, “The first few things that come to mind on hearing Janmashtami are huge human pyramids and dahi handis hanging in mid air. So there was no better way to celebrate the festival than to have a dahi handi event that truly engaged the listeners.”
