MUMBAI: “Masquerade,” was written in a unique way in collaboration with two-time Polaris Prize listed Louise Burns (Haley Blais) and JUNO-Award winning Kevvy (Carly Rae Jepsen, Fake Shark).
Unlike other tracks on the album, she had the chorus idea sitting on her phone for months but couldn’t figure out what the song needed. As soon as they dove into writing, her collaborators elevated that initial vision and they built something special.
“I’m somewhat obsessed with little moments that end up shaking our belief systems, and I had a particular experience when I was about twelve that stands out for me—it was a conversation about the “real world” that instantly made me feel older and realize that adults actually didn’t have it all together”.
