MUMBAI: The month of August is synonymous to celebrations, one of the most popular being Rakhsha Bandhan. With the festive season come celebrations, sweets, gifts and gatherings. Radioandmusic.com spoke to musicians about their siblings and the celebrations that take place on the eve of Rakhsha Bandhan.
Palak Muchhal: Palash and I work together but when we are out of the studio, most of the time we are fighting. The durations of our fights can last for both, short or long periods. But yes Palash is a very protective brother and there are times you will actually wonder whether he is really younger than me.
Sachin Sanghvi: At home the festival of Raksha Bandhan is full of masti. I have two elder sisters and the eldest of all is Amisha, with whom I keep fighting most of the times. She had this one thing called Haphephobia in which a person hates being touched by someone. So on the day of Rakhi, I make sure I kiss her four times just to mess around with her. There was this one time she got so irritated that she did not tie a Rakhi for me.

Aishwarya Majumdar: I do not have a real sibling, but there is this cousin of mine called Aman who is like a real brother to me. One fond memory was when we were really small and lived in Ahmadabad. In our garden we had a small pool in which we often put toys like ducks and miniature utensils. So there was this one time that I wanted a toy and he did not give it to me so in my loud squeaky voice I shouted for that toy and everyone around started laughing. Even today my brother says that I will gift you whatever you wanted but not the miniature toy.
Tulsi Kumar: Rakhi is a special festival in my house since half my family stays in Delhi. My brother and I go to Delhi during this particular festival. We have a little pooja in the house, after which my elder sister and I tie a rakhi for my brother- Bhushan. Also now that we have my little nephew, Ruhaan, as a new member of our family we tie a rakhi for him as well.
