Mumbai: As India braces itself for the 17th Lok Sabha Elections, apart from the commoners and Bollywood people, our musicians too have been vocal of their opinion on politics. And today, as its Mumbai’s turn to vote, many leading musicians have got inked and cast their vote.
Our honourable PM Narendra Modi had urged dignitaries like Lata Mangehskar, A R Rahman to appeal to people to come out and vote. Both of them did their duties by sharing posts on social media handles, thus encouraging people to exercise their fundamental right to vote.

Besides, sitting cabinet minister Babul Supriyo is contesting elections from his constituency, Asanol, in West Bengal. He too encouraged his constituency public to go out and vote. Another famous singer, Hans Raj Hans is also contesting election from Delhi and will vote in the month of May.
The recent entry of a musician in the world of politics is Daler Mehndi, who has joined BJP and is busy with rallies across Punjab. He also said, “Modi Naal rahoge to aish karoge”, akin to his famous track Sade naal rahoge toh aish karoge.
Meanwhile, many singers and musicians like Sonu Nigam and Neha Kakkar, who are currently touring abroad, have missed the occasion of voting. We hope by 6 pm today, more citizens, inclusing musicians go out and vote, thus making a difference to the nation.
