MUMBAI: This week’s episode of MTV Sound Trippin will see Karsh Kale and Nucleya explore the beautiful locales of Kerala. With strength as their theme, they begin their search for inspiration in Cochin by visiting a Kalaripayattu class. Dr Mohan Gurukkal, Master of the art class, invites them to watch his skilled students demonstrate the different movement involved with a variety of weapons.
Their next stop was the Cochin Cultural Centre where they watch a powerful performance by renowned Kathakali artists and musicians where they learnt about the strength required to play instruments and the precision behind movements in the dance form. Driving to Fort Cochin, Karsh and Nucleya also interacted with the fishermen who use the famous Chinese fishing nets. This meeting not only taught them the amount of precision and coordination required to carry out the job but also the various songs they sing for encouragement. The two hosts were also joined by a surprise guest – the talented singer Benny Dayal.
