Mumbai: Aimed at recognizing and nurturing talent at a nascent stage across various fields, MTV Rising Stars Awards was hosted in Mumbai as part of the ‘mb.Inspired!’ initiative partnered by Mercedes-Benz India.
The awards honoured artistes like Ajay–Atul for excellence in music direction, Bejoy Nambiar for directorial brilliance and Pearl for best Disc Jockey. The ceremony witnessed performances by renowned playback singer Shilpa Rao and upcoming DJ’s and musicians. Mercedes-Benz B-Class ‘Sports Tourer’ was also launched during the event.
Commenting on the new initiative Mercedes-Benz India MD and CEO Peter Honegg said, “A new vibrant and young India is on the rise, driven by the youth and their rising aspirations. Through these awards, Mercedes-Benz India recognizes the contribution of these youth icons, who live up to Mercedes-Benz’s core brand philosophy of ‘Best or Nothing’ and excel in their respective fields. This is a perfect platform for us to also showcase the fascinating Mercedes-Benz B-Class Sports Tourer, which is meant for the sports touring aficionados and I am sure the car will impress them immensely.”

Spanning across four months, the winners of MTV Rising Stars were selected from different creative fields of film and music. The honours were bestowed by Mercedes-Benz India MD and CEO Peter Honegg and Mercedes-Benz India sales & marketing director Debashis Mitra.
