MUMBAI: MTV Networks International has launched MTV in Ukraine.
The company first announced its plans to enter the Ukraine market in February. MTV Ukraine was launched by MTVNI and Horizon Capital, a local private equity firm.
The channel kicked off with a pledge from MTV Ukraine GM Yevgen Stupka and a video from the local band Vopli Vidoplyasova.
The slew of programes include international content dubbed in Ukrainian. These are shows from MTVN`s global library including South Park, Beavis & Butt heap, My Ride, Punk`d and MTV Unplugged among others.
In the Eastern European market, MTV is already present in Russia, Polska, Romania, Adria and Turkey.
