MUMBAI: Kotak group presents ‘Morning Ragas’- an exclusive bi-monthly concert series of morning melodies, conceptualised and managed by Pancham Nishad, an organization set up to preserve, promote and popularise the rich cultural heritage of performing arts in India.
The inaugural concert in this series is scheduled to be held at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru on SUNDAY 11th September 2022 at 9.30 AM. The concert features a duet by renowned vocalist Jayateerth Mevundi and well-known mandolin artiste U. Rajesh. They will be supported by Yashwant Vaishnav on Tabla, Dr. V. Praveen on Mridangam, and Vyasmurti Katti on Harmonium.
Evening classical music concerts have been held plenty in the city. What the Bengaluru music lovers are missing are peaceful morning concerts, where one can meditate and experience the tranquillity of music. There is a huge treasure of morning ragas that many are unaware of. Taking this into account, Pancham Nishad is set to launch its first-ever bi-monthly concert series ‘Morning Ragas’, a unique experience of morning melodies for the music aficionados of the culturally vibrant city of Bengaluru.
