MUMBAI: Mobile internet users will touch 46 million mark in September, according to Mobile internet in India report, published by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and market research leader IMRB. The report also illustrates that mobile internet usage has been witnessing a 15% growth quarter on quarter.
70% of the claimed mobile internet users (urban India) belong to the top two SECs i.e. SEC A and SEC B. Along similar lines, about 55% of the claimed mobile internet users are from the top eight metros (Mumbai, Delhi+NCR, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad). Additionally, about 63% of the active mobile internet users are from the top eight metros.
