MUMBAI: After being in the Indian music industry Mithoon finally made his concert debut with ‘The Magic of Aashiqui 2’ earlier this month in Abu Dhabi. The singers that boarded the flight along with Mithoon to Abu Dhabi included Palak Muchhal, Arijit Singh, Mohammed Irfan, Roop Kumar Rathod and Shilpa Rao.
Talking to Radioandmusic.com about the reason for choosing Abu Dhabi as an ideal place to have his very first concert, Mithoon said, “I got invitations from various places for performing live, but I wanted a music oriented venue for a concert and the director of Rami Productions, Mr Rahim came to Mumbai and told me that he is willing to get me everything I wanted. Also I have a lot my fans from Pakistan, Bangladesh and various other places who reside in Abu Dhabi so I thought this would be a great place to make my debut.”
When quizzed about the reason for inclusion of Mohammed Irfan, Roop Kumar Rathod and Shilpa Rao whilst the concert was about ‘Aashiqui 2’, he said, “My concert was not about a film but my journey as a musician. Thus whoever has been a vital part of my journey right from ‘Woh Lamhe’ till date; I thought they should be a part of the concert.”

Mithoon was extremely delighted with the response that he received from the audiences as the event was sold out. He is also planning to perform a few concerts in India, but is yet to zero down on the dates.
