Mithoon, Bhushan Kumar and Shreya Ghoshal win Gaana Awards

MUMBAI: For the very first time, music streaming website Gaana.com announced their awards. Eight awards were determined on the basis of actual play-outs and user consumption across digital platforms on Gaana.com, which is India’s number one music broadcasting service.

‘Aashiqui 2’ once again took home accolades for Most Popular Hindi Song, Most Popular Hindi Album and Most Popular Singer (female). Shreya Ghoshal won the accolade for the Most Popular Singer (Female) for the song, ‘Sun Raha Hai Na Tu’. Meanwhile, Mithoon received an award for the Most Popular Hindi Song for ‘Tum Hi Ho’ and Bhushan Kumar, the honcho of T Series, took away the award for the Most Popular Hindi Album.

Even “Desi girl” and former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra won an award for her international single, ‘Exotic’, which featured American rapper Pitbull.

Gaana.com has over three million registered users and has content catalogue of over three million songs in more than 21 languages.
