MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi’s RJ Anmol is paying a tribute to the legendary icon of Hindi Cinema Dev Anand on his signature retro show â€?Purani Jeans’ the enitre week.
The station will host a Dev Saab special segment every night, from 9.30 to 10.30 pm where RJ Anmol will take the listeners for a nostalgic walk down the memory lane by playing Dev Saab’s interviews and the great melodies that defined his movies.
The 88-year-old actor, producer and director who enthralled us with his classic movies and held us in awe with his charming persona, died of cardiac arrest on 4 December in London. Anand, through his banner Navketan Films made films like Afsar, Baazi, Aandhiyan, Humsafar, Taxi Driver, House No.44, Funtoosh, Nau Do Gyarah, Kala Bazar, Hum Dono, Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Guide, Jewel Thief, Jaaneman, Lootmaar, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Ghungroo Ki Awaz, Awwal Number, Sau Crore, Mr Prime Minister and Chargesheet.
