MUMBAI: Music of the upcoming Bollywood film, Manmarziyaan will be coming live to a city near you with ‘Manmarziyaan’ concerts. The tour flagged off, yesterday, at Mumbai’s Narsee Monjee College.
Amit Trivedi and his band put up a spectacular show at ‘Umang’ and received a warm reception from college students. The concert opened to a packed house at the popular festival. “Working on the music of this film has been a rollercoaster ride. I’m happy that Aanand L Rai and Anurag Kashyap gave me the creative freedom and allowed me to take risks with this versatile album. I can’t wait to see the feedback we receive from young audiences across the country,” said music director Amit Trivedi.
The star cast of the film, including Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, director Anurag Kashyap, music director Amit Trivedi and his band with over 20 singers will tour across metro cities in India. After Mumbai, the concerts will occur at other cities like Nagpur, Hyderabad, Indore, Delhi, and Chandigarh over every weekend, ahead of the film’s big theatrical release on 14 September.

Film producer Aanand L Rai said, “Anurag Kashyap and Amit Trivedi are an explosive combination when it comes to music. We want young audiences to experience these amazing compositions live. As producers, we believe that this album deserves a platform of this stature”.
Manmarziyaan director Anurag Kashyap further added, “It’s always special collaborating with Amit Trivedi. We have a great creative synergy. He understands me and creates fearlessly. Throw Shellee Paaji (lyricist) in the mix and it flows. It’s taken two years on this album and it’s been worth it”.
Manmarziyaan is presented by Eros International and Aanand L Rai. Produced by Aanand L Rai, the film is slated to hit theatres on 14 September 2018
