MUMBAI: Loy Mendonsa of the famous music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will perform at the annual concert â€?ReRock’, scheduled to be held on 14 January in New Delhi.
It its fourth season, the event has initiated first ‘ReRock Award’, which will be conferred to Mendonsa for his contribution to rock music in India.
Apart from Mendonsa performing with his new band â€?Soul Reich’, the concert will also feature other artistes like Amit Kilam (Indian Ocean) with his band, Gravy Train, Contraband, the ReRock Remix Band, Electric Plant, White Fang, Applied For and Explosives. This year the concert will also include special performances by four High School Rock Bands, DPS RK Puram, Sriram School Gurgaon, Montfort School Ashok Vihar and Mount St. Mary’s.
ReRock founder Amitanshu Das said, “ReRock brings generations together! Eschewing outdated notions of a generation gap or western youth rebellion against parents. This year it is being organized at Mount St. Mary’s School to celebrate Golden Jubilee year with reunion and music. Our mission of ReRock fits the occasion of celebrating rock and reunion.”
