MUMBAI: After the success of the concept album ‘A Thousand Suns’ in 2010, renowned American rock band Linkin Park is back with their fifth studio album ‘Living Things’. Co-produced by Rick Rubin and LP vocalist Mike Shinoda, the album will be launched on 26 June.
The album will be released on Machine Shop Recordings/Warner Bros. The album’s lead single ‘Burn it Down’ is available on iTunes.
The band has also announced that it will co-headline the Honda Civic Tour 2012 along with rock bands Incubus and Mutemath. The tour will commence from 11 August in Virginia, USA and culminate on 10 September in San Diego.
Linkin Park lead vocalist Chester Bennington said, “Linkin Park and Incubus fans have grown up together. We’re looking forward to bringing them all together for a great night of music.”
Linkin Park has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and won two Grammy Awards. The band has collaborated with several artistes including rapper Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Busta Rhymes and more. The band comprises of Mike Shinoda (vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards), Chester Bennington (lead vocals), Rob Bourdon (drums), Brad Delson (lead guitar), Joe Hahn (turntables, keyboard) and Dave Farrell (bass).
