MUMBAI: Legendary singer and composer Lesle Lewis known for his association with singer Hariharan in the duo.Colonial Cousins’ has always believed in doing something out of the box.
This first composer from the country who introduced Indian audiences to rock and pop music shared details about his unspoken work in a recent interview.
Lesle has started something called Connect with the fans and under this umbrella he last performed in the Jaipur education festival and will now be performing at the Indian International Model United National next week.

Talking about the concept he said, “I had started Connect with the fans where I performed free without charging anything from the fans. Only my band, travel and stay have to be taken care off. For one year I am making myself accessible to the fans. If anyone likes to hear my performance, I can be called any time. We have done concerts and there’s a fixed cost for the band since they are professionals. Excluding their cost, there is no other cost charged. But after one year I plan to start charging.”
Connect with the fans was started this year in April and already Lesle and his band have done six or seven shows and nobody knows about this. The band has done everything from Krishna to Kala Chashma.
