MUMBAI: Leo Burnett India pocketed a Silver Radio Lion for its work becoming the sole Indian agency to grab awards in the radio category at Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival 2010.
The Radio Lions category winners were announced on the third day of the advertising festival. Leo Burnett India grabbed the metal for their work done for Bajaj Electricals, titled â€?Pleasure of Mixing ‘in the best use of music and sound design category. The spot was produced by Lingo India Mumbai and K V Sridhar was the chief creative officer
The Jury President for the Radio Lions is Taxi chairman Paul Lavoie and the jury includes Lingo India managing director Manohar Nayak.
Indian agencies had entered 52 pieces of work for Radio Lions this year. The agencies that have shortlists in the category include Leo Burnett and Publicis Communications with two shortlists, Bates141 and JWT with one shortlist each
The only gold Lion awarded in the radio category for the Asia-Pacific region went to DDB Auckland for its ‘Pollock’ campaign developed for Sky Televsion.
