MUMBAI: Gwen Dias, a singer-songwriter known to work with big names like AR Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan on television shows like MTV Unplugged and Coke studio has released her debut single Legacy. The tracks composed, sung and written by her.
She explains what Legacy is all about, “For me, the first question I had in my mind was ‘what impact I am making on people around me’. At that point, I was going through a roller coaster of emotions and was just living for myself. I realized this was not enough and compiled my thoughts in a song and put them together. The first verse in the song really hit me hard, ‘Would you remember me if I went away, or I would just be a raindrop on your windshield that you wiped away’. Legacy is about the difference you make in people’s lives. It’s also about how you want to be remembered.”
Legacy has been shot in Paris as the singer reveals, “Shoot was a big thing for me and my friend Thomson Andrews told me ‘If I would do my own music I should be doing it as big as I can possibly. So, I shot Legacy in Paris and it took us two days to shoot.”

2018 seems a big year for the singer as she has a roadmap set for her future projects, “This year kicks off with Legacy from my album Gwen And The Groove. Latter for the same album I would be releasing five singles to which I am already done shooting for. Legacy has shot in Paris while rest of the songs have been shot in Rome. Apart from this, I am looking at a few ad jingle projects ahead.”
