MUMBAI: Legendary rock band Led Zeppelin has announced the premiere dates and venues of their 2007 O2 concert film ‘Celebration Day’. The premieres will be held in four cities around the world.
The film’s worldwide premiere will start at New York’s Zeigfeld Theatre on 9 October. Prior to the premiere, founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant will be joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, for a press conference at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, report said.
The film will then open at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on 12 October. The London premiere will be attended the three remaining original members of the band- Jones, Page and Plant.
Premiere of Celebration Day at Berlin will take place on 15 October which will be attended by Jones followed by premiere at Tokyo on 16 October with Page in attendance.
Celebration Day will have a theatrical worldwide release by Omniverse Vision on 1,500 screens in over 40 territories on 17 October. Tickets for the public screenings are available via the band’s website-LedZeppelin.com.
The band’s tour de force two-hour headlining show at London’s O2 on 10 December, 2007 for Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun saw 20 million people applying worldwide for tickets for18,000 seats.
The film will also be made available in multiple video and audio formats starting 19 November from Swan Song/Atlantic Records in Standard Editions – 1-DVD/two-CD set and one-Blu-ray/two-CD set, Deluxe Editions – two-DVD/two-CD set and one-Blu-ray/one-DVD/two-CD set featuring exclusive bonus video content including the Shepperton rehearsals, and BBC news footage.
The music of the concert will also be available in a two-CD set, Blu-ray Audio Edition – Blu-ray Audio release featuring high-resolution 48K 24 bit PCM stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound audio.
A vinyl edition- three LPs, 180-gram audiophile quality will be available on 11 December.
