MUMBAI: Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar has ranked at the number eighth position on the top 10 list of India’s Most Trusted Personality 2013 in the list of cinema and music, according to the Brand Trust Report India Study – 2013.
The list was highly dominated with bollywood actors occupying a majority of the positions. While Aamir Khan topped the list, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan featured at the number two and three spots respectively. Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar ranked at number eight growing in her Brand Trust ranking from 812 in 2012 to 875 in 2013.
Anna Hazare emerged as the Most Trusted Personality in India, and has risen in trust ranks from 106th last year to 87th this year leading a list of 35 personalities from the fields of Cinema, Spiritual, Sports, Social and Business. In the same list, Aamir Khan ranked 2nd and Salman Khan slipped to 3rd, with a small two per cent gap between each other.

The Brand Trust Report, India Study 2013 (BTR 2013) is the third in its series and this year the report lists India’s 1100 Most Trusted Brands from 211 categories. The report is a result of a comprehensive primary research based on 61 attributes called the Brand Trust Matrix. The research conducted amongst 2505 influencer-respondents from 16 cities, generated more than three million datapoints from 13000 hours of research.
