MUMBAI: After making waves with her ‘Born This Way’ album, paparazzi queen Lady Gaga has unveiled the name of her next album titled ‘ARTPOP’ along with a photograph of a matching new tattoo.
ARTPOP is a follow-up to her last album ‘Born This Way’ which released in May 2011 and sold 1.1 mn copies within the first week of its release.
New songs for this album were taking shape when Gaga was working with producer Fernando Garibay in early 2012. Gaga’s manager Vincent Herbert revealed that she was working on her upcoming album during the tour, stating that the material is ‘insane, great records’.

Gaga has been posting some details about the album to her fans since some time. She had earlier tweeted that she would reveal the name of her next album in September this year. She has also been performing new tracks like the piano ballad ‘Princess Die’ on her current ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour.
The singer posted a picture of the album title tattooed on her wrist with the caption ‘new ink new album’ on her Facebook page. She later posted on twitter, ‘My new album/project ARTPOP’. The album is slated to release in 2013.
The Grammy winner shot to fame with her debut album ‘The Fame’ in 2008. The singer is currently midway through her ‘Born This Way Ball’ worldwide tour and will embark on the Europe leg this month.
