MUMBAI: Pop sensation Lady Gaga is set to star in a cameo role for Matthew Vaughn’s latest flick, reports have confirmed. The ‘Born this Way’ singer will play herself in the new movie and will film her scenes sometime early next year. A source said that Gaga had to commit only one day of filming and did not need too much persuasion.
Titled ‘The Secret Service’, the movie is based on a graphic novel created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar. It will star Colin Firth, a suave secret agent whose task is to teach his young protégé the tricks of the trade and Samuel L Jackson who will take up the villain’s role. According to rumours, the 27 year old ‘Poker Face’ hit maker is not the only big named lined up for a cameo in the movie. Reports say that Elton John, Taylor Swift, Adele and David Beckham will also be seen in cameo roles in ‘The Secret Service’.
Gaga is out to prove that her talents are not restricted to only music. The ‘Poker Face’ singer will make her acting debut in Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Machete Kills’ which is due to be released later in the year. The dark action movie in which she plays a gun-toting vixen will see her starring alongside some big names including Charlie Sheen, Jessica Alba and Sofia Vergara.
