MUMBAI: The legacy continues, as one more international concert is cancelled in the financial capital. American alternative metal band and two times Grammy award winner Korn who are touring India for the first time this month have cancelled their concert in Mumbai.
Mooz entertainment, who is organizing the tour announced its decision to call off the concert in the city. ”The decision was made today due to unavoidable circumstances that have largely been driven by incessant rains over the last few days in Mumbai,” states the release.
“Our decision was made in the interest of safety of the fans post a thorough inspection of the site by engineers and professionals. The Delhi and Bangalore concerts are being held as planned. Korn will be performing this evening in Delhi and on Sunday, the 9 September in Bangalore”, said MOOZ Entertainment senior vice-president Karamjeet Singh.
The company will be reimbursing all fans that purchased tickets through online and offline channels. In addition, as a good will gesture, the company will gift each fan that made a ticket purchase with a complimentary Korn ‘Path of Totality’ t-shirt and offer them the option to attend the concert in Bangalore (9 Sept) with an upgrade of the ticket. In effect, every fan that made a purchase of a general ticket or premium ticket for the Mumbai concert will be upgraded to the ‘premium’ or ‘platinum’ section respectfully at the Bangalore concert.
The Mumbai concert was slated to be held on Friday, 7 September 2012 at MMRDA Grounds.
