MUMBAI: Singer/actor Kelly Osbourne, faced flak on virtual platforms for her “poor choice of words” while talking on live television about Latino immigrants in the US. The British star apologised for her harsh statement, but insisted that she is not a racist.
Osbourne made headlines after her appearance on ABC’s ‘The View’ on Tuesday during a discussion on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s immigration policy, reports Efe.
She said, “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?”
Her comments drew instant backlash from her co-hosts on the show and on social media.
Actress of Puerto Rican descent, Rosie Perez, who was a guest co-host of the show, reacted against the comment strongly by saying, “Latinos are not the only ones who cleaned toilets.”
