MUMBAI: Katy Perry, who has been with EMI’s Capitol Records since 2007 is all set to launch her own record label.
“I’m preparing for it now. And when this record label does come to fruition, I’m going to try and avoid the things that take away any fighting chance for an artist to have financial success. As people are coming to me with opportunities, I’m thinking, ‘How would I want to be treated? ” Katy Perry told to The Hollywood Reporter.
Perry who has sold 3.7 million albums and has 11 Billboard top 10 singles, will also release her concert film ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me’ on July 5.
Earlier renowned pop singers like Madonna, Prince and Frank Sinatra had rolled out their own records.
