MUMBAI: Pop singer Katy Perry seems to be keeping busy with a number of projects these days. The ‘Roar’ singer whose new album release is just around the corner, recently made another big announcement. On her official Twitter account, she confirmed her appointment as CoverGirl Cosmetics’ celebrity spokeswoman.
“BEAUTIFUL news to share w/you all. Today is my 1st day as a @COVERGIRL! See what happens when you let the light in? #COVERGIRLKATY”, she tweeted to her 45 million followers. The 28 year old American singer will also join the ranks of Taylor Swift and P!nk, who are previous Cover Girls, as she graces the coveted magazine to promote CoverGilr’s spring 2014 campaign.
Talking about her latest endeavour the ‘Firework’ singer said, “In addition to music, I’ve always considered makeup to be a powerful creative avenue of self-expression. I’m honoured to partner with CoverGirl and share more colours and textures of my approach to beauty to inspire my audience.” Although Perry has launched several fragrances and had an eyelash line previously, this is her first cosmetics partnership.
